Senior Care Realty actually began nearly two decades ago as Senior Care Assisted Living. At that time, Mike Collins was a partner in a family business that operated 21 community-based residential facilities throughout Wisconsin.
In 1999, Mike formed Collins Realty Group to leverage his real-world experiences in operating, buying and selling senior care real estate for other owners and investors. In January of 2008, Collins Realty Group changed its name to Senior Care Realty to reinforce the company’s unique senior care industry perspective.
Senior Care Realty’s mission is to help owners and operators of senior care facilities with the real estate aspects of their business – buying, selling, and leasing assisted living facilities. Since 2000, the company has been involved with the sale, purchase or lease of more than 80 senior care properties, from small 8-bed facilities to 50+ unit facilities. While the company is headquartered in Wisconsin, services are offered throughout the U.S.

Mike Collins

Mike Collins is the president and founder of Senior Care Realty. The company, formerly called Collins Realty Group, was formed by Mike in 1999. His experience with assisted living began in 1988 as a member in a family business that developed and operated 21 assisted living facilities across Wisconsin. While there, Mike served as chief financial officer and led the accounting and marketing teams. Since forming Senior Care Realty, Mike and his team have helped senior care providers sell more than $100 million in properties in Wisconsin and nationwide. He has led efforts to develop senior care and other properties, and has facilitated sales, lease transactions and sale-leasebacks. Mike is a licensed real estate broker, CPA, and a past president of the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association. Mike was graduated from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Daren Dudgeon

Daren Dudgeon is a Senior Partner at Senior Care Realty. He joined the firm in 2004 as Vice President of Sales. Daren’s background includes experience in financial services where he worked with businesses seeking assistance in setting up buy-sell agreements, creating 401K programs, and in establishing insurance and investment programs. He has also served as a district and regional sales manager for Snap-On Tools. At Senior Care Realty, Daren has helped the company expand its sales nationally, growing to more than $50 million in annual sales over a four-year period. Daren earned a BS degree in public relations, with an emphasis on business/marketing, from Northern Arizona University.

Matt Collins joined Senior Care Realty in 2009 as Vice President of Development and Construction Services. Matt has more than 20 years of experience in real estate development. He was a partner in a family business that owned and operated 21 assisted living facilities in Wisconsin. Later, he formed his own firm, Collins Real Estate Advisors, and helped facilitate development of projects throughout the nation. As Vice President of Development and Construction Services, Matt understands the senior care market from an owner’s perspective, and he has proven expertise in qualifying markets, completing market site reviews, acquiring land, working with community planning and zoning departments, coordinating a team of architects, engineers and lenders, and taking a project from concept to completion.
Tammy Knudtson

Tammy Knudtson joined Senior Care Realty in 2004 as Marketing Director. After many years working with a real estate title firm, Tammy joined the company to assist with developing and implementing property marketing plans. Tammy received her Wisconsin real estate salesperson license in 2005, and has been integral in coordinating and facilitating a variety of transactions.

Jon Meier is Director of Advisory Services at Senior Care Realty. Jon joined the firm in 2008 as a Valuation Analyst. Prior to joining Senior Care Realty, Jon gained valuable experiences in accounting and finance for profit and non-profit organizations. He served as a financial manager for the Sure Foundation in New York City. In that capacity he was involved in financial management, budgeting, grant writing and property acquisition. Jon was also involved in teaching English-as-a-second-language classes at the Foundation. In his current position, he oversees the development of market feasibility studies and property valuations for Senior Care Realty clients. Jon was graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a BBA in accounting.
